It’s that time of year! The new 2020 Erin Condren Life Planners are launching this month, which means it’s time for a fresh start with a clean planner slate. The Erin Condren team was nice enough to send me my LifePlanner before the launch so I could give you a first look. Here’s my 2020 Erin Condren Daily LifePlanner review!

The Erin Condren LifePlanner
The 2020-2021 Erin Condren LifePlanner launch date is April 29, 2020 (or April 27th if you’re an Insider!). In case you’re new to Erin Condren or the LifePlanner, let’s go over some of the basics of this planner.
The LifePlanner is Erin Condren’s signature planning system. It has evolved from a simple coiled planning system to include binders, softbound planners, and a focused collection.
Some details on the Erin Condren Planners:
- Made in the USA
- 80+lb paper weight (one of my fav features!)
- Lots of personalization and customization options
- You can choose your starting month
- Interchangeable covers
- Can choose 12 month or 18 month options
For my LifePlanner this year, I chose the coiled daily layout in the colorful Layers design. I also chose the neutral Layers cover and the platinum coil.

What are the customization options?
There are SO MANY different ways to customize these planners. First, all the covers that come with the planners can be personalized. They are also removable, so you can change them with the seasons or depending on what you’re using it for!
You can also customize your planner coil – they come in platinum, rose gold, gold, and black.
The planners come in 12 month and 18 month options, and you can also choose what month you want to use for the start of your planner.
If you decide to go with the binder planner, there are several different binder colors you can choose from. These can be personalized with your initials as well. There are some absolutely beautiful new binder options with this launch! The beauty of the binder planner is being able to add pages and move things around as much as you’d like!

What are the design options?
This year Erin Condren stepped it up and offered two different design options to choose from. There is the Layers theme and the Flower Power theme. You can get the layers theme in colorful or neutral.
This year, I decided to go with the colorful Layers option for my daily duo. I am in love with the Layers design and it is absolutely beautiful in person!
As far as I know, this is the first time they have ever offered two different designs for the inside of the planner. I think this was a great idea because the planner will now appeal to more people who may not like one of the designs.

What are the layout options?
There were some new options for planner layouts this year as well! The planner comes in all of the normal layouts – horizontal, vertical, and hourly. This year there is also a NEW daily layout!
I think everyone is most excited to see the new daily layout this year. You can currently get daily layout planners from Erin Condren in the petite planner system and in the binder system. With this year’s launch they are being released in a coiled format!
I am honestly so excited about this because I use the daily layout binder system for work – and I honestly hate the binder. Not because of anything the planner did, I just don’t like having to have a binder open on my workspace all the time to see my daily tasks and schedule. I’m looking forward to the coiled because I’ll be able to flip it back and only have it open to one page – saving me so much space!

The daily duo planner comes in two separate books. Each book has 6 months included. You also get two interchangeable covers! The second book comes with the colored layers cover by default, but a code is included with the planner to get a free customizable cover for the second book!
The hourly layout also has half hour boxes again! This was something a lot of people were sad to lose last year so it’s exciting that they decided to bring it back.

Accessories you need for your planner.
The new accessories this year are absolutely gorgeous! I don’t know what I’m most excited about to be honest.
It’s exciting because you can get all your favorite Erin Condren accessories in either the layers or flower power design to match your planner. I will be picking up some items from both designs this year!
For the binder planner, the hot new accessory with this launch is the hole punch! It can be used to add any pages you want to your planner. It also is hole-punched itself so it can be kept right inside the binder!

Overall Thoughts About the LifePlanner
I have been using Erin Condren products for years because they are just fantastic. I love the LifePlanner (and the Deluxe Monthly Planner!) because both are well laid out and can be used to track just about everything.
There honestly isn’t much I don’t like about these planners, or Erin Condren products in general. I have been using their products since 2015, and I have never had any major issues with any aspect of a purchase. The only thing that can be a downside is the cost. The planners start at $55, which can be pretty pricey for a lot of people.

I understand why the products are priced where they are. The LifePlanner is of high quality and uses a much nicer paper than other planners. I’ve never had any issues with a planner lasting me an entire year of use, so to me, the cost is worth it since I only have to purchase once a year.
Overall, I highly recommend the LifePlanner and Erin Condren products in general. If I didn’t have my LifePlanner for work, my Deluxe Monthly for my budget, and petite planner for my business I would be totally lost!
